Pakistan’s oldest and largest cellular network, there was a time when Mobilink‘s marketing strategy would out-do, out-think and simply out-finance all others. They made it a trend to book the biggest stars from within Pakistan – people the average Paki could relate to. Their marketing and continued efforts towards displaying themselves as the absolute pinnacle of prestige within the telecommunication arena is what fuelled their propulsion to the number five spot.

4. Yo! Yo! Honey Singh

The most expensive artist to book in the sub-continent as of a few months ago, Honey Singh has taken not only Pakistan but the entire world by storm. With platinum hits one after the other and his songs playing on every radio and TV channel it’s not surprising that this artist from our neighbour’s film and music industry has built up a sufficiently large fan base within our nation as well.

3. OLX Pakistan

olx-pakistan-3

Oft referred to as the eBay of Pakistan, OLX has revolutionised the way buyers and sellers of used goods interact. With consumers seeking quality and buyers seeking the highest price, OLX provided a one-on-one interaction portal that accomplished both purposes as well as established a decent amount of responsibility in the relation. For this very reason OLX’s popularity skyrocketed and continues to do so.

2. Allama Iqbal

allama-iqbal

One of the most well-spoken father’s of our nation and the man credited with the coining of the name “Pakistan”; the very well respected Iqbal had a talent in poetry that very few others could compete with. To this day, his words inspire feelings of patriotism, responsibility and equality within all those who exhaust any effort at attempting to understand them.

1. Atif Aslam

Atif-Aslam

Atif Aslam became a pop-icon with the songs from his album “Aadat”, furthering his popularity by the songs he later sang for several Bollywood films. Atif’s appearance in the music industry timed perfectly with the transition of his target demographic on to the internet and particularly on to Facebook. These factors coupled together would possibly be the largest reason Atif has the biggest fan-base from Pakistan on Facebook, significantly outweighing the number two slot.

Our list comes to a close with that last entry but much still remains to be said. You might see that several names seem to be missing from the list which you would have expected to be on there: of particular sportsmen, political parties, social activists and an organisation that is famous for the comic relief within it’s marketing strategy (let us know if you can guess correctly). TechJuice, however, has simply accumulated the data and let it speak for itself. The numbers show what they do and we hope our analysis offers you an understanding of why they stand in this manner.
