Everyone has been keeping an eye out for the latest entry into the Android world of candy inspired updates. With KitKat being the last milestone update, people are definitely looking forward to Android 5.0 which is said to bring a complete UI revamp, new app switcher, overhauled notification system, a material design, new animations, new navigation buttons on the screen and the best of all, increased battery backup time! Reports say that the enhancement be as long as 90 minutes on certain devices which is quite a feat!

If you have been itching and spamming the “check for update” button on your Nexus devices you will be glad to know that 4,5,7 and 10 have gotten the OTA and its ready for download. You just have to be patient and wait for the update to reach you as it will appear for you after a certain duration. Because good things do come to those who wait!

Also Check:

Of course if you’re the daredevil type, you can always skip the wait and directly flash the factory image on your device by going to THIS link. Do keep in mind that you can potentially brick your device if you aren’t careful with what you’re doing.

Beware though, as flashing a factory image completely wipes your device clean of any & all data that may or may not have been on it, so there’s that.

Do post in the comment below if you have gotten your hands on the update yet, and your brief impression of the new OS. A screenshot or two if you would! We would love to see what it looks like and I’m sure many other viewers would.
