Good news for you Mac fans out there, Apple has refreshed its series of ultra-thin notebooks, Macbook Air. The processors of the 11-inch & 13-inch models will now come with a marginally upgraded speed. Both the MacBook Air models will now come with a 1.4GHz Core i5 processor, it’s a small step up from the previously offered 1.3GHz Core i5 processor. Macbook Air also has a revamped Turbo Boost speed 2.7GHz (2.6GHz in the existing models), which could improve the efficiency.

The other major change announced was in the price of the new units. A drop of $100 for each model. The Air’s price now starts at $899 for an 11 inch version, while the 13 inch model will cost you $999. The top end 11 & 13 inch models are $1,649 and $1,749 respectively, if you opt to upgrade to a 1.7 GHz Core i7, 8 GB RAM and a 512 GB drive.

All the other specifications remain same. So, in case you were hoping for a retina display or improved battery life upgrade, you might have to wait a little longer.
