Easypay is an online payment solution that was initiated back in 2015 by Easypaisa. The Easypay payment service is popularly seen on several Pakistan online stores. Today, Easpay announced that it would be launching Pakistan’s first ever Escrow Buyer Protection service that would ensure that your payments online are safe and secure. No longer do you have to worry about paying online anymore, Easypay has finally come up with the solution.

Despite the fact that e-commerce websites and online shopping stores have grown significantly in the last few years, the major factor that is hindering growth in this industry are trusts issues and risks of fraud. This is exactly why Cash on Delivery is the most popularly online payment option chosen by Pakistan customers. The lack of trust that Pakistani customers have on online payment options is exactly why e-commerce websites in Pakistan have to offer Cash on Delivery.

The main reservations that customers online have is about the authenticity and condition of products, delivery time, and the risk of fraud in paying online. However, Easypay aims to change this via their Buyer Protection service. Through this service, customers will be able to pay online with full surety. The buyer protection service does not forward the payment to the vendor until the customer has received the product and acknowledged their satisfaction. This means that if the customer faces any issue with the product delivery (for instance if it is not the same as it was advertised), the customer can then raise their concern with Easypay. Through the Easypay Buyer Protection, the customer will receive a refund or replacement if the product had indeed failed to meet the standards promised.

The procedure of complaint will be through a dispute form that will be provided with the shipped product. The customer will have to give a detailed description of the problem faced with supporting media evidence (in form of pictures) to Easypay. The time limit for submission of the dispute form is 7 days after the product shipment is received. In the next 7 days after the complain has been registered, Easypay will provide vendor and customer to resolve the issue directly among themselves. If no conclusion comes up in these 7 days, a dispute resolution committee at Easypay will assess the details submitted by the customer and then make a decision.

According to the Chief Financial Services Officer of Telenor Pakistan, Yahya Khan,

“Through Easypay Buyer Protection, we have come up with a solution that would boost Pakistani buyers’ confidence in online shopping, giving them the right to spend their hard-earned money only when they are satisfied with their purchase. This is the very first time that a Buyer Protection service has been introduced for online shoppers where the buyers will get their money back if they are dissatisfied with their purchase, and we are proud that Easypay has pioneered it. We really hope that Easypay Buyer Protection helps overcome trust and results in the growth of the local e-commerce sector.”

Looking to improve their business further, several e-commerce websites have already integrated the Easypay Buyer Protection into their payment options. For more details on the Easypay Buyer Protection service, you can read more from here.
