LUMS Center for Entrepreneurship (LCE) is bringing a unique opportunity to Pakistani startups thanks to its collaboration with the international software solution provider, Freshdesk Inc. Using this offer, Startups that are currently enrolled in, or have graduated from LCE’s Foundation incubator can apply for a free Freshdesk license.
According to the announcement made by LCE, the startups that successfully qualify for this offer, apart from the standard Freshdesk license, will be eligible for additional services and perks as well, to help them support their customers, which includes features such as Day Passes and Freshfone.
For the uninitiated, Freshdesk provides a full-fledge customer support software suite for businesses to handle their customer communication using powerful tickets-based system. A number of other features like SLA, canned and automated responses, suggested and bulk actions, multi-channel support, and focus on security set Freshdesk apart from its competitors.
Keeping up with its claim of being Pakistan’s most comprehensive development platform for entrepreneurs, LCE is the country’s first incubation center to partner with Freshdesk along with a number of other world-renowned business incubators like Y-Combinator, Startup Yard, K5 Ventures, Golden Gate Ventures, and Startup Weekend.

TechJuice: Which startups are eligible for this offer?
LCE: This startup offer is applicable to current as well as graduated startups of LCE’s business incubator, The Foundation.
TJ: Does the offer only cover a software license or other services are included as well?
LCE: All kinds of services that are available to regular clients of Freshdesk, like Day Passes and Freshfone, will be made available to the startups.
TJ: Will it be completely free or will the startup have to contribute as well somehow?
LCE: Startups don’t have to contribute anything. It will be completely free for them.
TJ: What license is offered to startups under this offer?
FreshDesk: The Startup Offer covers 3 Agents for free in Estate plan for one year. (Usual charges for this plan are $40/agent/month). Startups will have to pay for any additional Agents.
TJ: What happens at the end of one year of free service?
FreshDesk: Startups can choose to extend the license but after one year of free service, they’ll have to pay the standard charges.
In order to avail this opportunity, startups can sign-up for a trial license on the official Freshdesk website. After that, they’ll need to drop an e-mail to Freshdesk (love@freshdesk.com) and LCE (lce@lums.edu.pk) in order to claim the offer. Once LCE management has confirmed the startup from their side, the license will be enabled by Freshdesk.
