P@SHA launchpad applications opened a few days back and right on schedule, they have successfully conducted the Lahore launchpads and declared the winners.

Best Startup : Savaree
Savaree is a car pooling application that allows you to hitch a ride using your smartphone, making it a convenient applications to have on your phone. Savaree has also been selected for LCE Foundation program where the founders hope the startups can grow by learning from the experienced mentors and pitching to investors.

Best Social Innovation: Active Shehri & My Learningz (Tie)

ActiveShehri, an idea first presented at the Code for Pakistan Hackathon recently launched its online portals where the citizens can report problems and get information about common issues like getting a domicile issued.

Best Innovative Idea: Urdu Plagiarism Checker
The Urdu Plagiarism Checker aims to be the world’s first online Urdu plagiarism checker, giving rise to the possibility of developing plagiarism checkers in other languages. Since Internet became available to the masses, plagiarism has been a constant issue in schools, universities and even high end news agencies like CNN.

Bonus: One of the startup that we really liked at P@sha Launchpad was ‘CloudClinik.pk’.

CloudClinik.pk is exactly what its name suggests, a cloud based solution for doctors, clinics and healthcare faculties that allow them to make the Practice Management easier. A doctor can access the system from anywhere which means that notes, appointment schedules and financial statements are just a click away. The application itself is sleek and contains templates that make patient management easier.
