On many occasions, we see how manufacturers “inspire” each other. This does not have to be a bad thing, since they can borrow some striking features from each other to create, from that base, a totally new and different mobile phone. This is the case of the S7 Elephone, a phone that takes the form and name of the well-known Samsung S7 edge, but with some differential aspects, including the affordable price.
The Elephone S7 excels in design, which is clearly inspired by the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, as the Edge gets to have even narrower screen edges and better screen space, so there are things in which the Chinese clone exceeds the original.
Front of the Elephone is made of glass, the sides are metal and the back is plastic, but it simulates glass, as far as materials look a lot like Huawei P10. The screen seems to be curved, but in reality, it is just a visual effect well achieved, as the screen reaches the ends, it is only the glass that is curved, not the panels. The phone comes with 5.5 inches screen and FullHD resolution (1080 x 1920 px), along with 401 pixels per inch.
The phone comes with 4GB of LPDDR3 RAM and 64GB internal storage expandable by microSD. Its processor is a Helio X20 also known as MediaTek MT6797M of deca-core to 2.0 GHz and that is noticeable when we push the mobile phone to its maximum performance limit by running games of high level and try to reproduce virtual content in some of the spectacles of virtual reality.
This phone also fulfills its promise in the multimedia section. Not that it has the best camera in the market nor the worst, but the primary 13MP camera gives good results in good light conditions. The f/2.2 snapper with a single LED flash does not leave much room to cope in low light. The phone also lets you take decent selfies with 5mega pixel camera at the front.
