Climate change is one of the biggest issues Pakistan is facing right now. Pakistan is part of the list of those countries, which are mostly affected by this. According to the Germanwatch, Pakistan is 7th most vulnerable country to climate change.

Many organizations are currently working on providing awareness to the public regarding climate change and Hack Embassy is one of them. After the successful conduct of Karachi Climathon 2018, Hack Embassy is about to organize another Climathon on 25th and 26th October 2019 in Lincoln Corner, Liaquat Memorial Library, Karachi.

Karachi Climathon is an immersion event – a unique experience where participants get a glimpse of what it means to solve climate challenges. Through Climathon, students, innovators, professionals and citizens of Karachi get a platform to share their ideas, form diverse teams and address challenges over the course of a weekend.

Climathon aims to tackle climate challenges faced by us and facilitate the creation of green businesses. The reason behind organizing this event in Karachi is because it is the biggest city in the country and also most affected by climate change. So the goal is to inspire participants to take up leadership roles in these challenges, and to connect more Karachiites to the 2030 Agenda set by the UN in Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

It is a great opportunity for Karachiites to participate in the welfare of their city and make it more resilient to climate change. It is also great chance to network with local leaders from academia, business, and the public sector. Develop your skills in public speaking, innovative thinking, prioritization, and explore new startup tools and methodologies. Join forces with other like-minded entrepreneurs and innovators. Become a part of a global community working together to create a sustainable future.

The event passes are free but you need to register yourself by filling a Google Form. The registration form can be accessed from the official Facebook page of the event.
