Most of the users might have heard this name for the first time. The Tecno Phantom 6 targets the mid-range market of Pakistan but it might be a hard for it as Xiaomi and Infinix have already captured the mid-range market of Pakistan with their amazing phones like the Xiaomi Redmi 4X and Infinix S2. The Tecno Phantom 6’s main strength is its metal body. However, you can find the better phones with better specifications in this price tag. The choice is yours.
Design is the phone’s main strength. It has a full metal body which feels premium in hand. Both power button and volume rocker are present at the right side with the sim tray on the left side. There is a USB Type-C port at the bottom of the device along with a speaker at the right side of it.
The top has a 3.5mm headphone jack and a noise cancellation mic. The back of the phone is non-removable which means the battery is also not removable. The phone is easy to use in one hand.
The Tecno Phantom 6 has a dual 12 MP + 5 MP camera with a dual LED flash. The 2nd 5 MP camera purely captures depth. The front facing camera is 8 MP with a soft flash. Both cameras can record 1080p@30fps videos. The camera has a simple UI with simple controls.
The autofocus on the main camera is very fast and it takes photos quickly. You can also change the focus objects with just a tap even after capturing a photo. The camera performs outstanding both in low light and daylight. Especially the low light camera performance is appreciable.
The front camera is also good and comes with a soft flash for capturing better selfies at night.
The Techno Phantom 6 comes with a Helio P10 (MT6755) chipset with Octa-core 2.0 GHz CPU and Mali-T860 GPU. It has 3 gigs of RAM which makes it easy for you to switch between different applications and games. 3 GB RAM makes sure that your phone does not lag even on heavy load. The phone performs fast enough in general multitasking.
The gaming performance is also good. Even the most demanding games, like the Mortal Combat X, give excellent framerates on highest settings.
