In their efforts to facilitate Pakistani startups, Plan9 is sending startups on three-week exchange program to Austin, Texas in USA.

Plan9 has partnered with the U.S. Department of State and the city of Austin to form this joint exchange program called ATX+PAK. Its entire aim is to provide more exposure to Pakistani entrepreneurs. The pilot batch was sent last year and now Plan9 is hunting for their second cohort.

Alumni of this program include popular Pakistani startups like Patari, Auto Genie, Travly and WifiGen.

The program will allow aspiring entrepreneurs to gain exposure to the global market and learn how to scale their startups accordingly. Selected startups will be provided with proper working space while also getting to network with mentors, investors, and potential business partners from Austin.

In order to be eligible for this program,

  1. Your startup must have a functional tech-based product or service.
  2. Your product must be internationally scalable.
  3. You must either be generating revenue from your product or command a strong user-base.

Selected startups will be flown to Austin, Texas in October this year. Last date to apply is August 1. You can apply here.
