A new test from DisplayMate has revealed that the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 has the best smartphone display ever produced for the consumer market.

One of the most revered feature of the smartphone is its display. The screen on Note 8 is a super AMOLED QHD+ display which runs 6.3-inch diagonally. It is an edge-to-edge display and is being termed as “Infinity Display”. DisplayMate, which is a display rating firm for smartphones, happened to test this display quite recently. It says that the display on Note 8 is the best one it has ever come across.

DisplayMate awarded its highest ever grade “A+” to the display. The company said, “The Galaxy Note 8 is the latest model in a new generation of OLED Smartphones that have a Full Screen Display design. It is the most innovative and high performance Smartphone display that we have ever lab tested”.

The test found that the smartphone was able to bright itself to a maximum of 1,200 nits, which is 22 percent brighter than the company’s first flagship of the year, the S8. It also said that the largest native colour gamut with over 141 percent sRGB reproduction as displayed over a greater display proportion is also bound to make the user experience a lot better.

The smartphone has a user-adjustable white-point and comes with better viewing angles and improved auto-brightness calibration. It also has the highest contrast rating and the smallest screen reflectance, DisplayMate has ever seen. The resolution on the display peaks at the 3K figure.
