Samsung Galaxy A3 2017 is the youngest sibling in the Galaxy A series. The Galaxy A5 and A7 are the other siblings in the series. The phone comes with a couple of new features which distinguish it from the previous generations.
The phone looks mostly like its other siblings. It has a power button on the right side and the volume rocker on the left. The phone does not look premium but you are not paying for a premium phone right? The front has a Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection which saves it from scratches and breaking the screen. The phone is easy to use with one hand and all buttons are easily accessible.
Galaxy A3 2017 comes with a 13 MP, f/1.9 camera which is exceptionally good. It is the same camera featured in the A7 of the same series. The front camera is also a 8 MP, f/1.9 unit. Both cameras capture excellent photos in both day light and night time. Both cameras can record 1080p@30fps videos.
Samsung A3 2017 comes with Exynos 7870 Octa chipset with Octa-core 1.6 GHz Cortex-A53 CPU and Mali-T830 GPU. It features 2 gigs of RAM which handles light to normal multi tasking easily. However, the 2 GB RAM falls short when you try to open a lot of apps without clearing the memory.
The gaming performance on this device is amazing. Almost all the games, including the most graphic demanding ones, run smoothly on it. However, you should clear the background apps before starting a heavy game to ensure smooth performance.
