Samsung Galaxy A5 2017 is the middle sibling in the Galaxy A series. The Galaxy A3 and A7 are the other siblings in the series. The phone comes with a couple of new features which distinguish it from the previous generations.
The phone looks mostly like its other siblings. It has a power button on the right side and the volume rocker on the left. The phone does not look premium but you are not paying for a premium phone right? The front has a Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection which saves it from scratches and breaking the screen. The phone is easy to use with one hand and all buttons are easily accessible.
Galaxy A5 2017 comes with a 16 MP, f/1.9 camera which is exceptionally good. It is the same camera featured in the A7 of the same series. The front camera is also a 16 MP, f/1.9 unit. Both cameras capture excellent photos in both day light and night time. Both cameras can record 1080p@30fps videos.
Samsung A5 2017 comes with Exynos 7880 Octa chipset with Octa-core 1.9 GHz Cortex-A53 and Mali-T830MP3 GPU. It features 3 gigs of RAM which handles normal to heavy multi tasking easily.
The gaming performance on this device is amazing. Almost all the games, including the most graphic demanding ones, run smoothly on it. However, you should clear the background apps before starting a heavy game to ensure smooth performance.
