Xiaomi entered Pakistan a few months ago. It is known for its excellent smartphones at affordable prices. The brand is extremely successful in India and China and now aiming to be a big success in Pakistan. Xiaomi Redmi 4X is a budget smartphone from the Chinese manufacturer. The phone was launched in India as Redmi 4, and as Redmi 4X in Pakistan and China. If you are in search for an astonishing phone with an excellent battery life at a low price tag, this is the phone for you. The phone comes in the price category of Infinix Note 3. If you want a smaller screen, the 4X should be your choice.
Xiaomi Redmi 4X feels a lot more premium than the Redmi 4A. It has a metal back unlike the plastic back of the 4A. The fingerprint sensor is present at the top middle of the back. The phone has excellent curved edges which feel premium at the first look. The phone also has the Corning Gorilla Glass protection which makes it scratch resistant.
Power buttons and volume rocker are located on the right side of the phone and both of them are easily accessible with one hand. A micro USB port and stereo speakers are located at the bottom of the device. The phone also has a noise canceling microphone located at the top alongside a 3.5mm headphone jack. The left side has a tray which has a dual sim slot. The phone can be used easily with one hand.
The Xiaomi Redmi 4X has a 13 MP, f/2.0 main camera with phase detection autofocus and a single LED flash. The front camera is a 5 MP, f/2.2 unit. Both cameras can record 1080p videos at 30fps.
The camera is much better than the Xiaomi Redmi 4A. It launches quickly and takes photos in a blink of an eye. The main camera takes excellent photos in daytime and shows slight weakness in low light conditions. The camera comes with typical Xiaomi UI and supports tap to focus. You can also adjust exposure after tapping an object. The color accuracy of the camera is excellent.
The front camera performs mostly like the main camera. It also takes excellent selfies in daylight but struggles in low light conditions.
The Xiaomi Redmi 4X comes with a Snapdragon 435 chipset with Octa-core 1.4 GHz Cortex-A53 CPU and Adreno 505 GPU. It comes with 32 GB internal storage and 3 gigs of RAM. The performance is excellent in everyday use but the phone might lag a little bit if you put some extra load on it, like opening more than 10 apps at the same time.
Gameplay is smooth in less demanding games but the framerate drops on heavy games like Injustice: Gods Among Us and Mortal Kombat X. The phone has a big, 4,100 mAH battery which lasts for about 2 days on a single charge.
