Former Pakistan cricketer Fawad Alam has shown his support for the national team ahead of the T20 World Cup 2026 by releasing a song designed to energise both players and fans.
Fawad Alam has shared a teaser of his track, “Cricket Junoon Bolay,” and confirmed its full release on February 5, celebrating the passion for cricket shared by the Pakistani nation.
The song is written and composed by Wajid Saeed, with the music video directed by Mohsin Talat, combining lively music and vibrant visuals to excite fans ahead of the marquee tournament.
It is worth noting that the former left-handed batter was also part of Pakistan’s 2009 T20 World Cup-winning squad, making this release a personal tribute to a defining moment in his career.
The Men in Green have arrived in Sri Lanka for the World Cup and will play a warm-up match against Ireland on February 4 at the Sinhalese Sports Club as part of their final preparations.
Pakistan has been placed in Group A and will open their campaign against the Netherlands at the Sinhalese Sports Club on February 7, followed by a match against the United States on February 10.
The government of Pakistan has barred the team from playing their scheduled group match against arch-rival India on February 15, while they will play their final group-stage game against Namibia.
