The Balochistan government has rolled out a large-scale IT skills training program aimed at equipping young people with modern digital expertise. The initiative seeks to improve employment opportunities and strengthen the province’s growing tech landscape.
Provincial Parliamentary Secretary for Social Welfare Haji Wali Muhammad Noorzai announced the program during an event attended by youth, tribal elders, and political leaders. He highlighted that the future of both Balochistan and Pakistan relies on preparing youth with education, technical skills, and moral values.
Noorzai urged parents, teachers, politicians, and religious scholars to collaborate in shaping a capable generation ready for leadership roles. He said empowering young minds through technology and education was essential for long-term progress.
The Social Welfare Department has launched a comprehensive IT training project in collaboration with the Saylani Welfare Trust, a well-known organization in vocational education. Over 800 male and female students will receive professional IT training in multiple phases, helping them secure respectable and well-paid jobs.
The 10-month program is fully supported by the Social Welfare Department, which is providing infrastructure such as buildings, halls, and power facilities. A dedicated batch of 50 differently-abled students has also been included to promote inclusive digital learning.
Noorzai praised Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti’s vision for prioritizing youth welfare and digital inclusion. He said the government is committed to creating dignified and profitable employment options, including opportunities in remote and online sectors.
He added that it was the state’s duty to ensure access to business opportunities, training, and incentives that support economic growth. Noorzai expressed confidence that such initiatives would empower the youth of Balochistan and pave the way for a more prosperous future.
