The Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) has issued urgent, additional instructions for all candidates appearing in the CSS 2026 written examinations.
These new directives were released publicly yesterday. They concern the upcoming exams scheduled to commence on February 4, 2026. The commission has advised all registered candidates to strictly adhere to these updates to ensure a smooth examination process.
The FPSC has placed a strong emphasis on identity verification. Consequently, you must ensure your National Identity Card or Passport is valid before the exam day.
In its official notice, the commission made a clear distinction regarding documentation:
Expired identity documents will not be accepted.
If your ID or passport is not up-to-date, you will be denied entry into the examination hall. Therefore, check your documents immediately.
Beyond identification, the FPSC has updated the protocols regarding arrival times and stationery.
Candidates must arrive and take their seats at least 50 minutes before the commencement of the examination. This early arrival is necessary to complete all required formalities before the paper begins.
Furthermore, the commission has strictly banned additional materials inside the hall. Specifically, the possession of stencils is now prohibited.
These new instructions complement the guidelines previously issued for the CSS 2026 examinations. Candidates must follow all directives to avoid any inconvenience on exam day.
