The University of Karachi’s International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS) has announced a four-month hybrid “Basic German Language Course 2025”, starting November 4, offering students and professionals a chance to learn German for just Rs. 5,000.
With increasing educational and employment opportunities in Europe, particularly in Germany, Karachi University aims to make foreign language learning more accessible and affordable. The initiative is part of ICCBS’s mission to promote international collaboration and skill-based education for youth across Pakistan.
The course will run from November 4, 2025, to February 12, 2026, with classes scheduled every Tuesday and Thursday from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. It will be conducted in hybrid mode, allowing participants to attend either online or in person. Applicants must have at least an intermediate-level qualification or equivalent, and the last date to apply is October 28, 2025.
Organized in collaboration with the Sindh Innovation, Research, and Education Network (SIREN) under the Government of Sindh, the program will be taught by a German language expert from the Goethe-Institut, Pakistan. Successful participants will receive a certificate of completion.
“This course provides a valuable opportunity for students to develop global communication skills at an affordable cost,” said an ICCBS representative. “Our aim is to prepare Pakistani students for international academic and professional success.”
The program is hosted through the Latif Ebrahim Jamal National Science Information Center, which has been at the forefront of promoting science, technology, and education initiatives in Pakistan.
