Kia and BYD Pakistan Announce Delivery Delays Amid Highway Protests

Lucky Motor Corporation (LMC) and BYD Pakistan have both issued statements warning customers of vehicle delivery delays due to ongoing highway blockades and protests disrupting transportation routes across Sindh and Punjab.

LMC, the local assembler of Kia vehicles, confirmed that while all deliveries scheduled for March have been successfully completed and production remains uninterrupted, the current road conditions are hindering the timely dispatch of vehicles to upcountry destinations.

“The situation on the roads is causing unavoidable disruptions,” LMC said in a statement. “We are working closely with our logistics partners to resume normal delivery schedules as soon as routes are cleared and safe.”

The company emphasized that customer safety, vehicle security, and the efficiency of the delivery process remain its top priorities. Customer service agents and local vendors throughout the network can be contacted for support requests and status inquiries.

BYD Pakistan and its local associate, Mega Motor Company, have accepted delays as a result of interprovincial transportation obstructions, similar to this update.  The company’s official Instagram page issued an update in which they expressed their contrition for the inconvenience that their customers experienced while waiting for their electric vehicle deliveries.

“We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your continued support as we work to resolve this swiftly,” the statement read.

BYD, a relatively new entrant in Pakistan’s growing electric vehicle market, reassured customers that steps are being taken to restore operations as soon as possible.

Both automakers expressed appreciation for the patience and trust of their customers as they navigate the impact of these unforeseen logistical challenges.
