Travel on the Metro Bus and Orange Line will now cost more after the Punjab Mass Transit System increased the price of its T-Cash card, local media reports said.
The provincial transport department added a delivery fee of Rs130 to the existing Rs130 card price, raising the total cost to Rs260.
Passengers are now required to pay both the T-Cash card price and delivery charges themselves. The increase affects commuters across Lahore and other Punjab cities where the Metro Bus and Orange Line operate.
Reports indicate that the additional fee will place a financial burden on daily passengers who rely on these services for commuting.
The price hike has raised concerns over affordability for regular users of the Punjab Mass Transit System, who depend on the Metro Bus and Orange Line for daily travel.
