The National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Information Technology discussed the agenda concerning the sale and purchase of Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) properties.
According to available details, PTCL has initiated the auction of its prime 13,583-square-yard (around 27-kanal) commercial plot located on I.I. Chundrigar Road in Karachi, one of the most valuable assets in its real estate portfolio. The committee decided to hold discussions on this agenda in-camera, keeping the proceedings confidential.
Meanwhile, the Digital Media 2025 Bill, introduced by Shahida Rehmani to address concerns about obscenity and vulgarity on social media, was postponed for further review.
