It is nearly time for Nubia’s next flagship, and the company has started building excitement. The brand’s vice president teased the upcoming Z80 Ultra, highlighting major improvements in both the camera system and the display. Like its predecessors, the Z80 Ultra will continue the series’ signature design by offering a true full-screen display without a punch-hole cutout.
The front-facing camera will once again be hidden under the OLED panel. However, according to the company’s official, Nubia engineers have made further progress with this under-display technology.
The screen itself is set to maintain the same impressive specifications as before, including a 144 Hz refresh rate and a 380 Hz touch sampling rate. These features should ensure a smooth and highly responsive experience, especially for gamers and power users.
As reported, in the back, the Z80 Ultra will keep the 35mm focal length for its main camera. Yet, the real highlight is expected to be the upgraded ultrawide shooter, which will feature a larger sensor and an enhanced lens correction algorithm. This combination should deliver sharper details and more accurate edge adjustments in wide-angle shots.
For context, the Nubia Z70 Ultra launched last November. If the company follows a similar timeline, the Z80 Ultra could arrive at least a month later, keeping fans waiting just a little longer for the official unveiling.
