Published by

Pakistan has taken a major step toward future-ready education by officially notifying a comprehensive Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Robotics curriculum for students from Grade 1 to Grade 12. The move is part of the government’s push to equip learners with the skills needed in an increasingly digital and technologically advanced world.

The initiative, finalized under the direction of the Secretary, Ministry of Federal Education & Professional Training (MoFE&PT), was developed by the National Curriculum Council (NCC) in consultation with experts. The curriculum aims to foster computational thinking, robotics design, automation, intelligent systems, ethical technology use, and real-world problem-solving skills through structured and progressive learning pathways.

Aligning Education with National and Global Priorities

The AI and Robotics curriculum has been carefully designed to align with national priorities and international best practices, ensuring students gain practical, application-oriented skills. Officials emphasized that the program will prepare learners not just for higher education or local employment, but also for global technological opportunities.

To ensure effective implementation, the curriculum will be shared with teachers, educational administrators, and other stakeholders to support orientation, training, and capacity building. Phased rollout plans are in place to integrate these competencies across schools nationwide.

The launch reflects the government’s broader vision of Digital Pakistan and its commitment to promoting STEM education and preparing a generation that is skilled, competitive, and ready for the evolving global economy.
