Realme has officially confirmed key specifications of its upcoming Neo 8 smartphone ahead of its January 22 launch in China. The device will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, promising high performance for gaming and multitasking.
The Neo 8 will feature a massive 8,000mAh battery, a notable upgrade from the Neo7’s 7,000mAh cell. Realme shared these details in multiple posts on Weibo, highlighting the phone’s extended battery life. In addition, the device will come with IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings, ensuring strong resistance to dust and water. Security is enhanced with a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint scanner.
Realme confirmed the Neo8 will use a Samsung M14 OLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate. The screen will be protected by durable Crystal Armor glass. Other hardware features include an X-axis linear motor, super-linear stereo speakers, an infrared sensor, multi-angle NFC, and dual-frequency GPS. The phone will run Realme UI 7.0 and is guaranteed to receive three years of software updates.
The Neo 8 will launch in three color options: Cyber Purple, Mecha Grey, and Origin White. Its triple rear camera setup supports up to 120x digital zoom and includes an LED light strip for photography enhancements.
