Sahibzada Farhan reached 1,000 runs in T20Is during the ongoing T20 World Cup 2026 Group A match against the United States, becoming the 10th Pakistani to achieve this milestone.
The 29-year-old opener entered the match with 969 runs in 40 innings and reached his thousandth by smashing a six off the final delivery of the fifth over against the USA.
Farhan joined Pakistan’s elite T20I run-scorers, including Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, Shoaib Malik, Mohammad Hafeez, Shahid Afridi, Fakhar Zaman, Umar Akmal, Ahmed Shehzad, and Saim Ayub.
The opening batter played a crucial role in the solid start for Men in Green, helping them reach 190 for 9 in the first innings after being sent in to bat first by USA captain Monank Patel.
The right-handed batter scored a fantastic 73 runs off 41 balls, including six fours and five sixes, while Babar Azam made 46 off 32, stitching a crucial 81-run partnership.
All-rounder Shadab Khan contributed a quick 30 runs off 12 balls, including four boundaries and one six, while Shaheen Shah added a brisk 9 runs off 4 balls, hitting a six.
