Sindh Issues Alert Over Fake Pink Scooty Scheme Online

The Sindh government has issued an alert warning citizens about fake online messages and advertisements claiming registration or payment requirements for the Pink Scooty Scheme. Officials clarified that the scooters are being provided completely free of cost to eligible women under the welfare program.

In a statement shared through the Sindh Information Department’s official X account, the provincial government said it had taken serious notice of fraudulent posts circulating on social media. These fake messages falsely suggest that citizens can apply for the Pink Scooty Scheme by submitting online payments.

“The government has not authorized any website, link, or person to collect money or personal information under the Pink Scooty Scheme,” the statement read. Authorities called such messages fabricated and misleading, urging citizens to verify all information through official channels.

Officials explained that the Pink Scooty Scheme is part of the Sindh government’s initiative to empower women and promote safe, independent travel across the province. The scooters are distributed free of charge to women who meet the program’s eligibility criteria.

Citizens have been urged not to share personal information or make payments through unofficial platforms. The Sindh government confirmed that legal action has been initiated against individuals and groups involved in spreading fake messages and misleading the public online.
