T-Mobile Expands T-Satellite Coverage to All Customers

T-Mobile has officially launched its T-Satellite service for all users after months of successful testing. Over 2 million users participated in the beta phase, with around 30,000 active daily testers. Surprisingly, users received three times more messages than they sent during the trial. T-Satellite uses more than 650 low-Earth orbit satellites. These satellites act like floating cell towers to enable communication.

More than 60 smartphones support T-Satellite, including Android and iPhone models. No apps are required. Once in range, the phone connects automatically, showing a “SAT” icon on the screen. While satellite movement may cause brief service gaps, messages continue to be sent until delivery succeeds. Texting works just like normal cellular service, offering a seamless experience.

T-Satellite is included in Go5G and Experience Beyond plans. It’s also free for Experience More users from the testing phase. Other customers can add it for just $10 per month. Even non-T-Mobile customers can access T-Satellite for a limited time at the same $10 price. This makes it an affordable and accessible option.

Currently, the service covers the continental United States, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and parts of southern Alaska. More regions may be added in the future. With T-Satellite, T-Mobile now boasts “the largest satellite-to-mobile constellation.” This launch marks a big step toward expanding mobile connectivity in remote areas.
