Xiaomi is preparing to expand its Poco lineup with the official launch of the Xiaomi Poco M8 on January 8. The company has already kicked off its teaser campaign and confirmed the phone’s design. Early reports also suggest that the Xiaomi Poco M8 Pro could debut alongside the standard model.
Xiaomi has yet to reveal official pricing for the Poco M8 series. However, a Russian retailer has listed both upcoming phones ahead of launch. While prices often differ by region due to taxes, the listings offer an early look at what buyers can expect.
According to the retailer, the Xiaomi Poco M8 with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage is priced at RUB 26,817. This converts to around $340 and €289. The 512GB storage variant is listed at RUB 31,167, which equals roughly $396 and €336.
The Xiaomi Poco M8 Pro sits at a higher price point. The version with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage reportedly costs RUB 36,242, translating to about $460 and €391. Meanwhile, the top model with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage is listed at $492 and €418.
The listings also outline the hardware details. The Xiaomi Poco M8 is said to feature a 6.77-inch curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It runs on the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor and includes a 50MP main camera with a 2MP depth sensor. A 20MP front camera handles selfies. The phone packs a 5,520 mAh battery and supports 45W wired charging.
The Xiaomi Poco M8 Pro brings several upgrades. It reportedly features a 6.83-inch quad-curved AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection. The device is powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset. Its camera setup includes a 50MP main sensor, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 32MP selfie camera. A larger 6,500 mAh battery with 100W wired charging completes the package.
With the launch just days away, Xiaomi appears ready to strengthen its midrange Poco lineup. If these early details prove accurate, the Poco M8 series could offer strong value with premium features.
