Flight disruptions have hit Pakistan hard on Tuesday as 101 flights bound for Gulf countries were cancelled due to the escalating conflict in the region. Passengers across the country faced sudden changes, with hundreds returning home after being denied boarding. Airlines and airport authorities have urged travelers to check flight statuses before heading to the airport.
The cancelled flights were scheduled from eight major airports, including Islamabad International Airport (Islamabad), Allama Iqbal International Airport (Lahore), Jinnah International Airport (Karachi), Faisalabad, Multan, Sialkot, and Peshawar. Destinations affected include Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Sharjah, Kuwait, Qatar, Iran, Iraq, Azerbaijan, and Dubai.
According to airport officials, the disruptions are not new. Over the last 18 days, nearly 2,000 flights were cancelled as the Gulf conflict continues to impact air travel.
United Arab Emirates-bound flights remain particularly affected, with airlines suspending operations until further notice.
Travelers have been advised to stay updated through airline notifications and airport announcements, as sudden cancellations remain possible.
Passengers stranded at airports reported frustration and uncertainty, highlighting the human impact of regional instability on ordinary people trying to travel for work, family, or medical reasons.
