The restriction will apply only to sensitive areas surrounding processions and Majalis gatherings, and will remain temporary and localised in scope. Mobile services at Majalis venues will be suspended until 10pm to strengthen security measures.
The partial suspension covers sensitive locations in Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Sargodha, Khushab, Bhakkar, Hafizabad, Gujrat, Narowal, Faisalabad, Toba Tek Singh, Jhang, and Chiniot, among other districts.
The Home Department clarified that mobile services will continue operating normally in Lahore and all other areas of the province not hosting sensitive processions or gatherings.
