FDE Opens Admissions for Islamabad Model Schools & Colleges for 2025-26

Islamabad: The Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) has officially announced the admission timetable for Islamabad model schools and colleges which will begin the 2025-26 academic year. The registration period extends from March 17 to March 28, 2025 to admit students in Early Childhood Education (ECE) and primary levels and classes two through nine.

Admission Schedule

The admission schedule for early childhood and primary levels, as well as classes 2-9, has been announced. The registration period for all academic levels extends from March 17 to March 28. Interviews for ECE-I (ages 3-4) will take place on March 17, while admission tests for ECE-II/Prep (ages 4-5) and Class 1 (ages 5-6) will be held on April 8 and 9, respectively. The merit list will be announced on April 14, and students must submit admission forms from April 14 to April 16. Classes commence on April 17, 2025.

Students in Classes 2-5 and 7-9 will take their exams on April 9, while those in Classes 6 will test on April 7. Admission will commence after April 14, when the merit list is available, and will end on April 16. Academic classes for all levels will begin on April 17, 2025.

Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for admissions are as follows: ECE-I is for children aged 3-4 years, ECE-II/Prep is for children aged 4-5 years, and Class I is for children aged 5-6 years.  Admissions are available to the offspring of federal government employees and residents of Islamabad.

The FDE is introducing several initiatives including Free Pink Bus Service, Free lunch program and Smart classrooms to enhance the educational experience

The new curriculum will emphasize coding, artificial intelligence, and entrepreneurship, with expert guidance from leading institutions such as NUST, NUML, and the Space Technology Institute.

Prospective students and their parents are encouraged to complete the registration process within the specified timeframe to ensure admission for the upcoming academic session.
