WWE superstar Seth Rollins recently made waves on the April 28th episode of WWE Raw—not just for his presence in the ring, but for the eye-catching attire he wore.
The “Visionary” stepped out in a custom-made $13,500 coat designed by Pakistani fashion house Rastah. The look earned admiration from both wrestling fans and fashion enthusiasts alike.
This luxurious piece, titled “The Golden Peacock Coat”, is fashioned from plush blue velvet and showcases intricate dabka embroidery, a time-honoured South Asian craft technique.
Staying true to his bold fashion sense, Rollins matched the coat with a white fitted shirt and flared trousers. Rastah also offers matching pants for those who want the full look, available at an added cost of $920.
Rastah: From Lahore to the Global Stage
While this isn’t the brand’s first brush with celebrity, it certainly marks a milestone moment for the Lahore-based label. Rastah, launched in 2018, blends modern streetwear with South Asian textile traditions and has since built a loyal following.
A-listers like Zayn Malik, Justin Bieber, and Timothée Chalamet have also sported the brand’s creations.
Among the standout offerings on Rastah’s website is a $14,500 wool coat, currently the most expensive item listed. This makes Rollins’ coat the second-highest in value. Many were surprised by this, considering the brand’s origins and initial price range.
According to Creative Director Zain Ahmed, the label sources some of its premium materials from Italian mills that cater to fashion giants like Dior and Valentino. He describes the creative process as a fusion of “Italian precision and South Asian soul.”
Is Rastah Leaving Pakistan Behind?
Though based in Pakistan, Rastah’s primary target is clearly the international market.
“We’re still stuck in this postcolonial hangover where if we get ‘goray ka thappa’ [a white man’s stamp of approval] we need this,” Ahmed explained in a past interview. “So it clicked that for me to sell in Pakistan at this price point, I don’t really need to market in Pakistan and then all of that media will be distributed and consumed in Pakistan and it becomes that high-value content.”
Social media reactions have ranged from awe to disbelief, with some humorously pointing out the extravagant price tag. “$14,000?! I wouldn’t consider that unless it was medical equipment required to save my life,” joked one viewer.
A $500 hoodie may be within reach for some in Pakistan. However, the reality is that such premium pieces are clearly aimed at Western celebrities and elite clientele.
Still, there’s no denying Rastah’s growing impact. With each international spotlight—be it through a Hollywood star or a WWE icon—the brand solidifies its place on the global fashion map.
