HyperOS 3.0: Which Xiaomi Devices Will NOT Get The Update
Xiaomi has officially revealed which of its devices will not receive the upcoming HyperOS 3.0 update. The new software, based on Android 16, promises improved customization, better security, and a smoother user experience. However, a large number of older Xiaomi, Redmi, and POCO models are being left behind as the company ends their firmware support.
For many of these devices, Android 14 will be their final major update, marking the end of official upgrades.
POCO and Redmi Devices Missing Out HyperOS 3.0
A significant chunk of POCO’s budget and mid-range lineup won’t move to HyperOS 3.0. The list includes popular phones like:
- POCO X5 Pro 5G
- POCO F4
- POCO X4 GT
- POCO M series
Similarly, several Redmi A, 12, and Note 12 series devices are being excluded. Notable names include:
- Redmi Note 13 4G
- Redmi 12 5G
- Redmi Pad SE
- Redmi Note 12 Turbo
Xiaomi Flagships Also Affected
Surprisingly, some Xiaomi flagship and premium devices won’t get the new update either. This includes:
- Xiaomi 11 series
- Xiaomi 12 Lite
- Xiaomi Civi
- Mi MIX FOLD
- Xiaomi Pad 5 lineup
This move indicates Xiaomi’s push to focus its software efforts on newer models, aligning with its typical support cycle of two to three major Android upgrades for most devices.
Significance of HyperOS 3.0
The HyperOS 3.0 update is expected to bring major UI improvements and enhanced privacy features. By excluding these devices, Xiaomi is signaling the end of software support for a large segment of its older ecosystem.
Users with these models will continue to receive basic security patches for some time, but no major OS updates will roll out anymore.
