Islamabad is set to gain a major boost in public service delivery as the Assan Khidmat Markaz, a one-window facilitation centre, approaches completion and is expected to be inaugurated soon. The facility aims to bring hundreds of government services under one roof, offering convenience and faster processing for citizens.

The centre has been developed in the former Public Welfare Department (PWD) building located in Sector G-9’s Mauve Area. The building has undergone complete renovation, including a redesigned exterior, to support modern one-window operations. The project was executed by the Capital Development Authority (CDA) as a deposit work.

Once operational, the Assan Khidmat Markaz will host CDA’s one-window services, facilities of the Islamabad administration, and is also expected to include passport-related services. This integrated approach is designed to reduce long queues, paperwork, and the need for citizens to visit multiple offices across the city.

CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa, along with senior engineering officials, visited the site to review progress. Officials briefed him that the main structure is complete, while finishing touches are in the final stages. Landscaping and horticulture work have also been finalized. Expressing satisfaction, the chairman directed that the facility be handed over to the Ministry of IT and other relevant departments immediately after completion so it can open for public use without delay.
