Punjab Teacher Recruitment 2025 26898 New Posts Sanctioned

The Punjab government has approved a performance-based monthly allowance for teachers across the province, aiming to improve teaching quality and student learning outcomes. Under the new policy, teachers from primary to higher secondary levels will receive additional financial incentives based on their grade and performance, marking a major step toward rewarding effective teaching.

Education officials say the move is part of Punjab’s broader education reform agenda, which focuses on accountability, teacher motivation, and better academic results. In recent years, the government has been exploring incentive-based models to raise classroom standards and encourage professional commitment among educators.

According to the approved framework, primary school teachers will receive Rs5,000 per month, elementary teachers Rs7,500, high school teachers Rs10,000, while higher secondary teachers will get the highest allowance of Rs12,500.
An official from the Punjab Education Department said the allowance is designed to

“recognize strong performance and motivate teachers to deliver measurable improvements in student learning.”

Authorities believe linking financial rewards with performance will not only boost teacher morale but also strengthen accountability within the public education system. The initiative is expected to play a key role in improving overall education quality across Punjab’s schools.
