Punjab has introduced a comprehensive performance monitoring system across the province aimed at enhancing public service delivery, improving accountability, and ensuring the swift resolution of citizens’ complaints. This initiative reflects the provincial government’s commitment to efficient governance and transparency.
The Punjab government has established inspection teams under the Chief Minister’s office to track key performance indicators (KPIs) in 22 critical sectors. These sectors cover essential services, including healthcare, education, road maintenance, and the availability of daily commodities like bread. The system integrates real-time monitoring through live feeds from the Punjab Safe Cities Authority, while also including inputs from the Special Branch, media reports, and social media updates.
Officials explained that on-ground monitoring teams will evaluate services in each district, focusing on immediate reforms and strengthening accountability across departments.
“This system will not only accelerate complaint resolution but also set higher governance standards across Punjab,” an official stated.
With this initiative, Punjab aims to create a transparent, responsive, and citizen-focused administration, setting a benchmark for provincial governance in Pakistan.
