Meta has rolled out another round of updates to Edits, its dedicated mobile video editing app, as the company continues to position the tool as a central part of content creation workflows in 2026. The latest changes introduce new ways to speed up editing, maintain visual consistency, and gain finer control over how video and audio elements behave inside projects.
The Edits team confirmed that users can now copy and paste fonts and clips between projects, a feature designed to help creators maintain a consistent visual identity across multiple videos. By allowing text styles and clip elements to be reused with a single action, the update reduces repetitive setup work and makes it easier to scale content production. The feature is currently rolling out to Edits users on iOS.
Another key improvement focuses on usability. Edits now provides easier access to guides, frames, and snapping tools through a drop-down menu that appears when tapping the project name. Previously, creators had to rely on smaller on-screen controls to adjust these settings. The new layout offers a more direct way to manage alignment and framing, particularly on smaller mobile screens.
Meta has also introduced a new “Visual Clips + Sound Effects” control, giving users the option to decide whether edits to the main track automatically apply to visual or audio clips. This added flexibility allows creators to experiment with timing and structure more freely, or lock elements together once the arrangement feels right.
Beyond workflow improvements, Edits is gaining additional visual effects that can be applied to specific objects within a frame, along with a new Reverse option and more text animation styles. These additions expand creative possibilities while keeping editing fully contained within the mobile app.
While editing on a phone still requires some adjustment, Meta continues to build Edits as a feature-dense tool capable of handling increasingly complex video projects. With each update, the app moves closer to serving as a full-fledged editing solution for creators, marketers, and social media teams producing content at scale.
Edits is available for download on both iOS and Android, and Meta says more feature expansions are planned as it refines the app based on creator usage and feedback.
