Honor appears ready to expand its big-battery smartphone lineup once again. A fresh leak suggests the company is working on the Honor X80, and this time, the focus could be a massive 10,000mAh battery.
According to the source, the Honor X80 will feature a 10,000mAh cell. If that detail proves accurate, the device would rank among the largest battery phones in its class. Most midrange smartphones still offer far smaller capacities, so this move would clearly set the X80 apart.
Honor has already experimented with high-capacity batteries. In July last year, the company unveiled the Honor X70 with an 8,300mAh silicon-carbon battery. More recently, it launched the Honor Win and Win RT in China, both equipped with 10,000mAh batteries. Early last month, Honor also introduced the Honor Power2, which packs a slightly larger 10,080mAh cell. Reports say that all three devices achieved a strong sales performance. That success likely gave Honor the confidence to continue in this direction.
The upcoming Honor X80 is also expected to bring updated hardware. The phone is tipped to run on a next-generation Snapdragon 6-series chipset. More specifically, the SM6850 platform is rumored, and it could carry the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 name. This chip should deliver better efficiency and smoother everyday performance.
On the display side, the Honor X80 may feature a flat 6.81-inch LTPS AMOLED panel. The screen is said to support a 1.5K resolution, which should provide sharp visuals and clear detail.
