Bahraini authorities have detained an Indian telecommunications engineer for allegedly sharing highly sensitive geospatial data, photographs, and reconnaissance information of strategic locations with Israel’s external intelligence service, Mossad.
The suspect, identified as Nitin Mohan, was reportedly taken into custody by Bahraini intelligence services after investigators determined he transmitted operationally significant material that could support foreign agencies in targeting assessments.
Officials said the material reportedly included imagery of strategic sites and other information that may have allowed foreign intelligence organizations to analyze operational details or evaluate vulnerabilities within Bahraini territory.
The Ministry of Interior in Bahrain confirmed the arrest but has not provided further information about the ongoing investigation, including the exact locations involved or the full extent of the alleged transfer.
Authorities also declined to comment on whether additional individuals might be linked to the case, stressing that the inquiry is ongoing and further updates could be released as it progresses.
