The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is planning to introduce digital ticketing for VIP and Premium enclosures during PSL 11, aiming to streamline entry and reduce long queues at stadiums.
Sources revealed that selected matches in Karachi, Lahore, and Rawalpindi could allow fans to present tickets online, simplifying stadium access while avoiding delays and long waiting times at gates.
The PCB has decided to keep ticket prices affordable for PSL 11, setting rates between PKR 300 and PKR 3,000 to ensure accessibility for cricket supporters nationwide.
Fans have expressed concerns over ticketing issues, citing technical glitches, delivery delays, and long queues, urging the board to improve arrangements or implement robust digital systems immediately.
Supporters argued that previous ticketing platforms offered smoother mobile access, warning that without effective digital systems, the so-called “new era” of PSL may feel incomplete for passionate cricket fans.
The upcoming edition will feature eight teams, including new entrants Pindiz and Hyderabad Houston Kingsmen, competing across 44 matches in a 39-day tournament scheduled from March 26 to May 3.
Lahore Qalandars will begin the competition against Hyderabad Houston Kingsmen at Gaddafi Stadium on March 26, starting a league stage where each team will play a total of 10 matches.
The top four teams from the league stage will progress to the playoffs, consisting of Qualifier 1, the Eliminator, Qualifier 2, and the final scheduled at Gaddafi Stadium on May 3.
A reserve day for the final has been scheduled for May 4, and PSL 11 will feature six double-header fixtures, three of which will be held at Gaddafi Stadium.
Matches will be played across six venues, with Faisalabad and Peshawar hosting PSL matches for the first time, joining Karachi, Lahore, Multan, and Rawalpindi to expand the league.
Gaddafi Stadium will host the most matches at 15, followed by Rawalpindi with 11, Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad seven, Karachi six, Multan four, and Imran Khan Cricket Stadium hosting one.
