Peshawar Zalmi have unveiled their official anthem “Rise of Zalmi” ahead of the 2026 Pakistan Super League season 11, building momentum before their opening fixture this weekend.
The anthem features captain Babar Azam alongside teammates Iftikhar Ahmed, Mohammad Haris, and Shahnawaz Dahani, with actors Mahira Khan and Syra Yousaf also appearing prominently.
Syra Yousaf has joined the Zalmi family for the 2026 season, adding further star presence to the anthem, which blends cricket personalities with entertainment figures.
Musically, the track includes Pashto singer Wajid Layaq, Nehaal Naseem, Bilal Ali of Kashmir Band, and Altamash Sever, creating a diverse lineup supporting Zalmi.
“Rise of Zalmi” adopts a chant-driven, high-energy style rather than a conventional pop format, encouraging supporters to unite and express their passion for the franchise.
The chorus centres on a crowd-style call urging fans to raise their hands for Zalmi, reinforcing the team’s identity as one of the league’s most followed sides.
The anthem’s release adds to anticipation surrounding Peshawar Zalmi as they prepare to compete strongly in the upcoming Pakistan Super League season starting this week.
Peshawar Zalmi will begin their campaign against new franchise RawalPindiz on Saturday, March 28, 2026, in a day match scheduled at Gaddafi Stadium Lahore.
The match will start at 2:30 PM, marking Zalmi’s first appearance in the tournament as they face a newly introduced team in PSL.
The 2026 Pakistan Super League season begins today with defending champions Lahore Qalandars taking on newcomers Hyderabad Kingsmen in the opening match of the tournament.
