Educational institutions across Karachi and the rest of Sindh will reopen on April 1 as scheduled, the provincial government has confirmed, rejecting rumors of any further extension in holidays.
Sindh Education Minister Sardar Shah clarified that a notification circulating on social media about extending school closures until mid-April was false and misleading. He urged the public to rely only on verified sources for updates.
Schools in the province had been closed from March 11 to March 31 as part of broader measures to conserve fuel amid the ongoing energy crisis. Authorities have maintained that examinations will proceed as planned and academic activities will resume normally.
Officials have made it clear that there will be no shift to online or hybrid learning, stressing that students must return to classrooms for regular instruction.
Parents and students have been advised to follow official updates and ignore unverified notifications circulating on social media.
