Pakistan opening batter Fakhar Zaman has thanked Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Mohsin Naqvi for a floral gift and personal well wishes on his recent birthday.
The left-handed batter expressed his gratitude through the message on his social media platform directed at the board head following the arrival of the flowers at his personal residence.
Zaman described the delivery of the bouquet as a wonderful gesture and noted that the chairman provided warmth and thoughtfulness during the celebration of his birthday.
The public exchange occurs as the cricket board continues its administrative efforts to manage the national squad and its players during the current busy domestic season.
Last week, PCB confirmed that the PSL Technical Committee has rejected Fakhar Zaman appeal and upheld his two match suspension following disciplinary proceedings.
The committee comprising Professor Javed Malik, Dr Mumraiz Naqshband, and Syed Ali Naqi reviewed evidence and submissions endorsing sanction imposed by match referee Roshan Mahnama.
The left-handed batter was charged with a Level 3 offence under Article 2.14 for allegedly breaching playing conditions by attempting to alter the ball during match.
The incident occurred during Lahore Qalandars fixture against Karachi Kings on March 29 when umpires inspected the ball and reported its condition had been changed.
Match officials Faisal and Sharfuddoula assessed the ball near the final over and awarded a five run penalty to Lahore Qalandars for the reported breach.
Fakhar Zaman denied the allegations and requested a full disciplinary hearing under the PSL Code of Conduct during the process conducted by match authorities official.
