The Xiaomi 17T is now close to launch, with a possible debut as early as next month, according to recent reports. At the same time, the Xiaomi device has already shown up on a popular benchmarking platform, adding weight to early rumors.
A Xiaomi handset carrying the model number 2602DPT53G has appeared on Geekbench AI. It is widely believed to be the upcoming Xiaomi 17T. This listing gives an early look at its core hardware and software setup.
The device is shown running on the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 chipset, which matches earlier leaks. It also runs Android 16 out of the box. In addition, the listing confirms 12GB of RAM, which places it in the upper mid-range category.
Performance scores have also been revealed through Geekbench AI testing. The phone recorded 1,017 points in the single precision test. It achieved 1,329 points in the half-precision test. Meanwhile, it scored 1,124 points in the quantized test. These results suggest balanced AI processing capabilities.
Battery life could be one of the main highlights of the Xiaomi 17T. Reports suggest a large 6,500mAh battery. It is also expected to support 67W wired fast charging. However, charging speed improvements beyond this are not expected.
On the camera side, Xiaomi may take a conservative approach this time. The 17T is likely to keep the same camera setup as the Xiaomi 15T. That means no major hardware upgrade is expected in imaging.
Xiaomi is planning to launch both the 17T and 17T Pro together. The launch is expected in May, which is earlier than usual for the series. For comparison, the Xiaomi 15T lineup was introduced in September last year. This shift suggests a faster product cycle for the T series.
