The district administration of Hub in the province of Balochistan has fixed the retail price of Iranian petrol at Rs250 per litre, effective immediately across all fuel outlets in the district.
Deputy Commissioner Jumma Dad Khan Mandokhail issued the directive after receiving reports of unjustified price increases by dealers engaged in the cross-border fuel trade.
Following a formal notice, the administration announced strict enforcement measures against overpricing, hoarding, and profiteering by fuel sellers throughout the district.
The DC stated that the government had authorised the Iranian petrol trade specifically to provide meaningful and tangible economic relief to ordinary citizens and local communities.
He further warned that no individual trader, cartel, or business group would be permitted to exploit consumers through artificial or unjustified increases in fuel prices at any point.
Authorities have directed all concerned fuel dealers to comply with the fixed Rs250 per litre rate or face strict legal action for any documented violations of the price ceiling.
