Pakistan’s telecom sector continued to expand during the current fiscal year, with total subscriptions reaching 207.22 million by March 2026, according to the Pakistan Economic Survey 2025-26 released today.
The latest figures cover both mobile and fixed telecom connections across the country. The growth reflects the increasing adoption of communication services among consumers and businesses.
Teledensity Reaches 82.6%
The Economic Survey also reported that Pakistan’s overall teledensity stood at 82.6 percent in March 2026. Teledensity is a key indicator that measures the number of telecom connections relative to the country’s population.
According to the survey, Pakistan recorded 207.22 million mobile and fixed telecom subscriptions by the end of March 2026. At the same time, national teledensity reached 82.6 percent, highlighting the continued expansion of telecom access across the country.
The latest data underscores the telecom sector’s role in improving connectivity and supporting digital services nationwide. As subscription numbers continue to grow, telecom penetration remains a key driver of Pakistan’s digital transformation.
