The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) officially announced that the Medical and Dental Colleges Admission Test (MDCAT) will take place on Sunday, 16 August 2026.
This mandatory entrance examination for medical programs will commence simultaneously across the country at 10:00 AM, with distinct universities managing the provincial testing centers.
The University of Health Sciences will manage Punjab centers, while Sukkur IBA handles Sindh, and Khyber Medical University oversees the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province entry tests.
The Bolan University of Medical and Health Sciences will conduct examinations in Balochistan, while Shahid Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University manages Islamabad and international locations.
According to the official public notice, online registration for candidates will open on 22 June 2026 and continue until the final regular deadline.
Prospective students must complete their regular registration by 8 July 2026, while late applications will be accepted with extra charges until 13 July 2026. The council fixed the regular registration fee for national centers at Rs. 9,000, while late applicants within Pakistan must pay a fee of Rs. 13,000.
International candidates face a standard registration fee of Rs. 45,000, whereas the late registration fee for overseas testing centers is set at Rs. 55,000.
All submitted entry test fees remain completely non-refundable and non-transferable, and applicants can check university websites to obtain additional details regarding the process.
