The Federal Government has reversed its decision on a Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) membership appointment made just three months ago.
The Establishment Division has cancelled the March 19, 2026 notification under which retired Grade-22 officer Aizaz Aslam Dar had been appointed as FPSC member, declaring it null and void with immediate effect.
In place of the cancelled appointment, the Establishment Division has issued a fresh notification, approved by the President of Pakistan, appointing Ayesha Humaira Chaudhry as member of the Federal Public Service Commission for a three-year term beginning July 1, 2026.
To take up the position, she opted for voluntary early retirement from government service prior to assuming the role.
The government has declared Aizaz Aslam Dar’s original appointment notification void from its very inception, effectively treating it as though it had never been issued.
