Waqas Aman Ullah, the Chief Consumer Business Officer (CCBO) at Telenor Pakistan, has officially resigned from his position. This high-profile departure comes as Pak Telecom Mobile Limited (PTML), the subsidiary operating under the brand name Ufone, takes over Telenor Pakistan’s operations following the recent completion of the PTCL-Telenor merger’s legal requirements.
Former CCBO of Telenor Pakistan, Waqas Aman Ullah, had been instrumental in leading Telenor’s consumer business value chain. His leadership focused on driving both digital and physical channel integration, which aimed to broaden market presence and improve overall customer satisfaction.
With the transition process now advancing, a board meeting to decide the next CCBO may occur at any time. Insider sources have revealed to TechJuice that the company has already completed the necessary consultations and interviews for the role.
Despite these significant leadership changes, the company has confirmed that there are no further layoffs at Telenor at this time. This news follows the recent approval of the Scheme of Amalgamation by the Islamabad High Court on June 30, 2026, which paves the way for the operational integration of the two entities.
