Honor has officially introduced the Honor X7e Plus 5G, expanding its X7e lineup after launching the 4G-only Honor X7e in June. The new model brings several major upgrades, including 5G support, a bigger battery, a Snapdragon processor, a smoother 120Hz display, and a higher-resolution 50MP rear camera.
The smartphone is currently available in Qatar and Oman. However, Honor has not confirmed when it will arrive in other markets.
Bigger Display and Better Durability
The Honor X7e Plus 5G features a 6.87-inch TFT LCD display with an HD+ resolution of 1592 × 720 pixels. It supports a 120Hz refresh rate for smoother scrolling and animations. The panel also reaches up to 1,020 nits of peak brightness, making it easier to use outdoors. In addition, Honor includes Dynamic Dimming and Eye Comfort modes to reduce eye strain during long viewing sessions.
A dedicated AI button is another new addition. Users can press and hold it to access features such as AI Memory, Circle to Search, AI Eraser, AI Summary, and Smart Recommendations. The phone measures 168.3 x 78.54 x 8.3mm and weighs 216.5 grams. Buyers can choose from Desert Gold, Velvet Black, and Meteor Silver color options.
Honor has also focused on durability. The device carries IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings for dust and water resistance. According to Honor’s official Oman listing, it also offers SGS Premium Drop Resistance and can survive drops of up to 2.5 meters. The Honor X7e Plus 5G runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 chipset. It comes with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.
The phone also supports RAM Turbo technology. This feature uses part of the internal storage as virtual RAM to improve multitasking performance. On the software side, the device ships with Android 16 and MagicOS 10.
It also includes dual SIM support, NFC, Bluetooth 5.1 with LDAC and aptX HD support, USB Type-C, stereo speakers, and a 400 percent volume mode. A side-mounted fingerprint scanner handles biometric security.
For photography, the Honor X7e Plus 5G features a 50MP main rear camera paired with an auxiliary sensor. On the front, it includes a 5MP selfie camera for photos and video calls. The phone packs a typical 8,100mAh battery with a rated capacity of 7,900mAh. It supports 45W Honor SuperCharge for faster charging.
Honor says the device can operate in temperatures ranging from -30°C to 50°C. The company also claims that the battery can retain more than 80 percent of its capacity after years of regular use under its internal testing conditions.
The Honor X7e Plus 5G starts at around $275 for the 6GB + 128GB model. Meanwhile, the 8GB + 256GB version is priced at around $300. The smartphone has also gone official in Oman. However, Honor has not revealed which additional markets will receive the device in the coming months.
